2020-2021 TRYOUTS
Available to rising 6th-8th grade students living in the Lassiter High School District.
Please follow the steps below to complete the virtual tryout process:
1) REGISTRATION: EXTENDED!! DUE BY WEDNESDAY, MAY 6th @ 9:00pm.
Once your cheerleader's registration is received, you will receive an email within 24-36 hours with a randomly assigned tryout number.
2) TRYOUT MATERIALS: Click below to access and learn the materials needed for the three required parts of the tryout video – (1) Cheer, (1) Chant and (1) Dance. .
3) TRYOUT VIDEO: Record your cheerleader performing the cheer, chant, and dance. A white top and black/navy shorts should be worn with hair pulled back in a high ponytail. Your cheerleader should start the video by stating name and grade. The assigned number should be pinned to the shorts and clearly visible in the video. *Cell phone videos are completely acceptable. Please make sure to have good lighting and no competing background noise.
4) VIDEO SUBMISSION: DUE BY FRIDAY, MAY 8th @ 4:00pm. Submit your video(s) to lassiterjrtrojancheer@gmail.com. Please make sure your cheerleader’s name, grade and number are in the subject line of the email.
RESULTS: Tryout results will be posted on this website and our Facebook page by SATURDAY, MAY 9th @ 4:00pm. (Your cheerleader’s assigned number will be posted, NOT her name.)
NOTE ON FEES: There will be no fee assessed for tryouts. If you previously paid the $40 tryout fee, it will be returned to you in the next few weeks. A Booster Fee of $75 will be due once your cheerleader makes a squad.
