2025 - 2026 Cheer Season - Important Dates and Information

 

Clinic and Tryouts

• Lassiter High School (AUX old gym)

• Tryout Clinics M-T-W, March 24, 25, and 26 from 5:30 - 7:30 pm

  • Girls will learn a cheer, chant and dance from LHS Cheerleaders

• Tryouts on Thursday, March 27 at Lassiter

  • Rising 6th Grade Tryouts – 4:30 – 5:30 pm

  • Rising 7th Grade Tryouts – 5:30 – 6:30 pm

  • Rising 8th Grade Tryouts – 6:30 – 7:30 pm 

• Judges panel consists of Lassiter & Stingrays cheer coaches.

• Tryout results posted to website by 9:00 PM Thursday, March 27th

• “Made it!” party and Parent Meeting on Friday, March 28 @ 6:00 PM (Location TBD)

 

Spring Practice & Uniform Fitting (*Mandatory*)

We will practice on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Mabry Park. This will be an informal practice and cheerleaders will begin teaching/reviewing cheers with each squad. 6:00-7:30pm.  A Varsity representative will also be present to assist with uniform fittings and to take payment.  Please note that payment is due at the fitting.

 

UCA Camp (*Mandatory*) 

• Pre-UCA Camp Practice - TBD

• Overnight Choreography Camp at KSU Marietta, June 12-14

 

Camp Lassiter Cheer Camp at LHS (*Mandatory*) 

• June 16-19

 

Sideline Practice Clinic

Sidelines practice at Lassiter High School 

• Thursdays 6:00pm - 8:00pm 

• August 7 - October 30

• No practice: LHS Open House (exact date TBA), September 25 (Fall Break)

 

Football Season - Games are held on Saturdays. The season usually starts late August and can potentially run into November (if a team makes the playoffs). The girls are REQUIRED to attend all games. The football program sets the schedule for the season, and we usually do not receive information until mid August.  Please plan to cheer throughout November.  Our football teams consistently make the playoffs.

• Please note that we DO have games Labor Day weekend (Aug 30th) and the first weekend of Fall Break (Sept 20)

 

Basketball Season - Season runs November to February. Games are held on Sundays and we only cheer home games at LHS. We typically cheer for 3 games during the season (a combination of boys and girls games). When we receive the basketball schedule we will send out the dates.

 

End of Season Banquet - Normally scheduled on a Saturday in January or February.
